Boston School of Music Arts
UPDATES

At Boston School of Music Arts , it is our passion and mission to KEEP MUSIC THRIVING.

We are open for IN PERSON lessons, with a hybrid or online lessons option. We still maintain many safety protocols. Those in place since day 1, and those that make sense to continue since March 2020.

^All teaching rooms have generous viewing glass for additional safety
^Cameras are on - so that all parents can watch to observe lessons, if desired
^The space and rooms are fogged, and surfaces wiped with a safe, non-toxic, military grade disinfectant
^Visitors must have prior permission to visit
^Visitors go through screening for fever, flu-like symptoms. They are not admitted if ill.
^ All visitors must sanitize hands prior to entering the main lessons space.
^Masks are still required at all times.
^Pianos, and high-touch surfaces are sanitized between lessons.
^All staff are background checked, and passed.
^Adult Lessons are not offered during peak times for children, unless that adult is a parent
^ We are among an elite number of schools internationally recognized as a safe music school, and a family safe music school.

Most of our students are doing lessons in person, and are doing so safely.

We are passionate about keeping music alive. It takes more than a village - it takes all of us.

Thank you for doing your part.

Yours in music,

The School was established in 2010, in the eclectic and diverse community of Dorchester’s Lower Mills, right near the Milton, MA border.

We are passionate about bringing high-quality music education, inspiration about music, and music performance skills development to as broad a population of children and adults as possible. This is a feeling and intention shared by the entire teaching and administrative staff.

The school’s main purpose, developed by the co-founders in 2005, several years before opening, is to:

IMPROVE LIFE FOR ALL THROUGH MUSIC.

In addition:
•Help re-awaken goals and dreams in individuals who have become discouraged due to inadequate education in music and
         other performing arts.
       • Encourage people who have dreamed of performing, and to give them the skills and knowledge to realize those dreams.
       • Encourage young children who have a recognized, but untapped interest in music and performing arts, to free this interest
in a fun, thorough and technically sound, effective way.
       • Provide aspiring music professionals and music professionals with the tools, services and support they need to strengthen
         their art.
