interview and audition for all others. Students learn and gain experience in all of the key elements of being a team member of a musical ensemble. Open to children and adults. New bands forming this fall.

VOICE PROGRAM

Our voice lessons program consists of several areas of sub-study: Songwork, Repertoire coaching, Performance Coaching and Vocal Development and Pro Vocal Coaching using the Deva Method®.

We work with absolute beginners and children as young as 6 or 7. It is highly recommended that young children also study piano with us, in addition to their voice lessons, to obtain a solid music foundation.

Here’s a brief description of each area:

Songwork or Repertoire Coaching: This is for the singer who may or may not sing professionally. The focus of performance coaching is to work on the musical aspects of a song, and some of the performance aspects. This is perfect for someone new to singing lessons, including younger students. *

Performance Coaching: This is for the student who wants to learn how to express the song naturally, using your voice to create a strong connection with an audience, and being versatile and comfortable on stage. Performance coaching is given via private or group instruction. *

*Note: The advanced technical concepts that would be needed in order to enhance vocal development would be done only with a licensed Deva Method® instructor, in our Vocal Development Department.

Vocal Development: The ONLY technical enhancement method that we endorse/offer is the Deva Method®. This method, developed by Jeannie Deva, Internationally acclaimed vocal method developer, gets to the heart of a singer’s TRUE sound. All technical aspects of singing are fully addressed, giving the singer optimum control of his or her vocal instrument, with optimum results, regardless of genre or “style” of music performed. In this area, range, pitch, power, and stamina are handled. Professional singers or speakers with vocal blowout, hoarseness or similar concerns handle these often frustrating problems. This is a non-classical approach for singers, that addresses equally well singers of classical styles, theater, jazz, rock, gospel, R&B, pop, hip-hop, folk, and more.

Pro vocal coaching: This service helps a singer who needs project-oriented help, such as preparation for a recording session, or an audition. This type of coaching encompasses all vocal skills development coaching at the professional level.

All voice lessons programs are not the same. Finding the right school is the first step.
